Pretty Village House With Guest Apartment, Annex, Pool and Views

This charming traditional-style property boasts a 4-bedroom house plus a separate guest apartment, as well as another annex with a sauna plus separate room with bathroom. It has a pretty courtyard garden plus a sparkling pool and jacuzzi hot tub, and is located in a peaceful hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside. 

Main House

The front door opens to an entrance hall. An arch from here leads to the dining room with a window overlooking the garden.  Adjacent is the cosy lounge with a wood-burning fireplace and sliding doors to the pool-side terrace where there is a shady area ideal for alfresco dining. An arch from the lounge leads to the kitchen which has plenty of cupboards, a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and door to a utility space outside.

There are 2 bedrooms to one side of the central living space (one is currently used as a second lounge).  Both of these have en-suite bathrooms with baths with shower over.  A further 2 bedrooms are located on the other side of the living area. These both have en-suite shower rooms.  All the bathrooms have windows for light and ventilation.  The bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and there are radiators (central heating) in the bedrooms and living space.

Studio Apartment

Above the main house, and accessed by external stairs from the pool-side terrace, is a studio apartment.  It has one sunny room with sliding doors to a private terrace, a shower room and kitchenette. From here there are magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.

Pool-side Annex

Next to the pool is a separate building which has been divided into 2 parts.  One side houses the 4-person sauna, which is conveniently located next to the jacuzzi hot tub (which seats 6). The other side has one room with a window to the garden (currently used for storage) plus a small shower room. This would make a lovely home office or art studio, or even an extra bedroom.

Low-maintenance garden

The courtyard-style garden has a variety of fruit trees and beautiful flowering plants. A built-in BBQ is situated next to the covered seating area, jacuzzi hot tub and 8x4m pool.  A beautiful wooden pergola off the annex provides a lovely seating area, and in summer the grape vines provide welcome shade.  The outside space has been designed to keep maintenance to a minimum, leaving more time to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle! 

The property is fully enclosed and quite private, while still affording views of the surrounding hills and citrus groves. There is space to park your car in the courtyard next to the front door, or there is parking on the road. It would make a lovely family home, but is also a successful holiday home and rental property. It can be sold furnished.

The area is peaceful and perfect for walking or cycling, with easy access to nature trails. It is about a 10-minute cycle to Vale Fuzeiros with a selection of cafés and restaurants.  The market town of São Bartolomeu de Messines is a 5-minute drive with shops, restaurants, library, health centre and train station with connections to Lisbon. The medieval town of Silves is just over 10 minutes away, and there are international schools (Dutch, German and English-language) within 10-20km.   It is about a 25-minute drive to the coast and 45 minutes from Faro airport.
