Location
Bridstow is a small village around two miles from Ross-on-Wye's town centre. This offers an assortment of shops, independently owned boutiques, a range of restaurants, welcoming pubs, various leisure facilities, plus a network of country and riverside walks.
The village has a lovely community; it contains a village hall - which acts as a headquarters for various groups such as the Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and the WI, and several activities are also staged there, such as barn dances and whist evenings. There is also a primary school, and this venue is used as a rehearsal space for a local women's choir, the Border Belles.
The village also boasts good access to a network of excellent transport links. The A49, the main road which connects Ross-on-Wye with Hereford, is nearby.

The home at a glance
Merryweather is set back from a country lane behind a set of double gates. The front garden sets a truly idyllic scene; a variety of vibrant blooms frame a level lawn, and an impressive apple tree takes centre stage. The garden wraps around the home and includes a kitchen garden which includes several well-stocked beds as well as a greenhouse. There is also a variety of other fruit trees throughout the expanse, which produce apples, pears, plums and figs.
A slope leads from the paved driveway up to the main entrance, into a boot room. This carries a decorative tiled floor and presents plenty of room to remove shoes and coats before entering a hallway, which wraps around the main home and offers a wealth of built-in storage.
The kitchen is equipped with chic light-grey shaker-style units, complemented by marble effect countertops and striking splashback tiling. Plenty of light pours into the expanse through two picture windows and, in terms of appliances, there is an AEG double oven, an AEG induction hob, an AEG extractor fan and a pull-out larder cupboard.
The spacious sitting room is next door. Another picture window frames a glorious view over the nearby farmland and the Forest of Dean. At the far end of the room, the sunroom showcases the immaculate garden and meadow beyond. This space is well-used year-round; it includes underfloor heating, making it ideal for the colder months of the year. During the summer months, the glazed doors can be opened, to link it with a sheltered sun terrace - presenting an ideal spot for an outdoor lounge.
Of the bedrooms, the master overlooks the front garden and includes Sharps fitted wardrobes. The second is large enough to accommodate a double bed, whereas the third would suit a single bed or may otherwise serve as a study or hobby room.
In terms of washing facilities, there is a family bathroom which carries an elegant clawfoot bath with a shower attachment, plus a large walk-in corner shower, a countertop vanity unit, a wall-hung WC, an illuminated mirror and a heated towel rail. There is also an attractive cloakroom near the main entrance which bears a decorative tiled floor, a countertop vanity unit and a WC.
The utility room also features a pretty tiled floor and decorative splashback tiling. There is space and plumbing for a washing machine and a condenser dryer, additional storage and a door leading out to the glass-framed sun terrace within the garden.
The garage includes an up-and-over door, plus light and power. This is split into two rooms, and the insulated zone at the rear presents a perfect space for a workshop or grants and opportunity to run a business from home.
