Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living in my local area has both positives and negatives. On the plus side, there’s a decent range of local shops, cafes, and restaurants, with a mix of independent and chain options. Several green spaces nearby make it easy to enjoy nature or go for a walk, especially on weekends. Public transport is fairly reliable, with regular buses and train services that connect well to the city centre. However, services can be delayed during peak times or in bad weather. On the downside, parking on my street is quite limited, especially in the evenings, and bin collections can be inconsistent. There’s occasional traffic noise and some issues with anti-social behaviour on weekends, particularly from nearby bars. Still, it’s generally a safe and convenient area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management has been generally responsive to urgent issues, but slower to act on minor or non-urgent concerns. Communication is polite, though follow-ups are sometimes needed to ensure resolution.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I had known how limited the on-street parking can be, especially in the evenings—it often fills up quickly. Also, while the building is mostly quiet, noise from nearby bars can be disruptive on weekends. A helpful tip: get familiar with the bin collection schedule early on, as it’s not clearly communicated and can be inconsistent. For new neighbours, joining the residents’ WhatsApp group has been really useful for updates and building-related advice.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Near edgbaston village tram stop, and multiple good bars, pubs and shops. Loki & Smoke and Ash are favourites

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes - they quickly replaced a fire alarm after it was raised as missing

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I really can't think of anything - it ticked the boxes it said it would

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a good area not far from the city centre but quiet and green. Close to Morrisons and transport although I would murder a good coffee shop nearby. Parking is expensive with potential options nearby, but as yet unconfirmed on a timeline.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, as mentioned above Reece and Mark were very quick and professional in both their response time and in resolving the issues. Unscrewed the kitchen, wired up the hob and reinstalled it without making any mess. Very impressed by the team.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Induction hobs... It's obvious when you know but required an extra trip for new pans. I would also like to see a few more community events as it looks like they're not too frequent.

    Manager's response

Hello Edward, Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. We value all feedback, as it only helps us improve. We are thrilled you had such a positive experience with our team and look forward to passing along your comments. If you need anything at all please reach out any time, welcome home!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good location, close to broad street and central Birmingham. Few issues with parking and bin collections. Ryan, Kerry and Laura are all very friendly and helpful!!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

All issues have been sorted very fast and efficiently.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Expensive parking options. Apartments have hot water tanks so limited hot water usage without having to constantly press boost.

    Manager's response

Hello Tyler & Sean. Thank you so much for the fantastic review, and feedback. We can't wait to share this with the team, as we always strive to provide best in class service to every resident and are glad to hear this was the case. If you ever need anything, please shout! Thanks again - Your team at Loudon's Yard

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Good: besides the quality of the building itself, the staff are excellent. Ryan, Kerry, Laura and Talia are great people to have in the reception as they make you feel very welcoming. Mark and Jack are very helpful and attentive in management. They are professional and cooperative whenever interacted with.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Every issue I had was solved almost immediatly. Even if something needs time, I was always informed and kept updated by Reece or Mark from the building maintenance, who are very reliable and efficient.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The five ways station is further than I thought, and further than what I was told. I personally don’t use the train but many do.

    Manager's response

Hi Omar, thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with such valuable feedback! We are always happy to help in whatever way we can at Loudon's Yard and will continue to work hard to ensure our residents are having a truly exceptional experience. If there is anything at all we can do for you please do not hesitate to ask!
