Ref. Chalet Maria - Chalet Maria is a magnificent, recently built 4-bedroom chalet located at the foot of the Les Planards ski area, just a few minutes' walk from the very heart of Chamonix.

The chalet is over three floors with the top floor being an entirely open-plan living area. There is a large, modern kitchen with breakfast island, a dedicated dining area, various lounge spaces and access to three balconies giving views fabulous mountain views in all directions. The main entrance is on the middle/garden floor with three generously sized bedrooms, two bathrooms and a games/TV room. Two of these bedrooms and the games room have direct access to the terrace and mature, landscaped garden. On the lower floor there is a large dormitory with built-in double bunks, its own bathroom and a sauna. This level also includes a spacious garage, a boiler room and a ski room.

Our opinion
Chalet Maria is a beautifully designed chalet finished to a high standard. The top floor is fully open plan and spans over 100m² so has a great feeling of volume but also has distinct seating areas to create a cosy atmosphere. Situated at the foot of the Les Planards beginner slopes, it is perfectly situated for family skiing but also offers easy access to the town's amenities being only 500m from Chamonix's pedestrianised area. Possibility to add a bedroom on the ground floor.

Location
Chalet Maria is situated at the bottom of the slopes of the Domaine des Planards where there are two green, one blue and one red slopes with the red often hosting World Cup slalom events. It is also a popular domaine in the summer with various amusement games including a 1.3km long luge. The location is also convenient for access to Chamonix centre being under 10 minutes' walk (550m).

The chalet is 200m from the bus stops providing access to the ski areas of Chamonix, Les Praz and Argentiere. The Montenvers train is also with 200m which gives access to the Mer de Glace and beings skiers back from the world famous Vallée Blanche.
