Kingsway Shopping Centre is being reimagined by its new owner, Niall Leighton-Boyce. Since its purchase in 2024, at least 10 new independent businesses have joined the centre, in previously unoccupied space. 112 student studios are currently under construction, due for completion in time for the 2026 academic year.

A brand new 15,000 sq ft leisure offering has just opened in the previously unoccupied basement space - formerly home to the In Shops. A 10,000+ sq ft soft play operator with a high-end fit out will be opening in time for the summer holidays (August 2025) in the former Wilko's.

Retail units of various sizes are available, many of which are already fitted out and ready to trade. Service charge can be included in the rent, and the local BID will even cover the cost of your shop signage.

Kingsway has an in-house management team, ongoing refurbishment and maintenance, and a new DDA-compliant toilet block under construction.

We work closely with Newport City Council to support new businesses - including access to potential grant funding. The centre also hosts regular promotional events throughout the year.

A 1,000-space car park with EV charging is attached to the centre, operated by Newport City Council with subsidised rates and free parking on Saturdays leading up to Christmas.
