There is also Westward Ho! close by with its long sandy beach ideal for water sports. The A39 is also easy to access, leading directly to Barnstaple some 9 miles away to the east and Cornwall to the West. There are good transport links via the A361 to the M5.

Passing Bideford Hospital on your right, take the next right at the crossroads into Belvoir road. A short distance down the road, turn right into York Rise.
