Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Our local area is fantastic! The range and quality of shops are excellent. The restaurants and bars offer a diverse range of cuisines, and the open spaces are beautifully maintained. Transport links are convenient, with frequent bus services and nearby train and tram stations. Parking is generally available, and bin collections are regular. The building staff Moses and Peter, are always friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a great place to live!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management have been very responsive to issues I've raised. They've addressed concerns promptly and efficiently, providing solutions in a timely manner. Their professionalism and courtesy have been impressive, making me feel valued as a resident.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I'm thoroughly enjoying living here! The community is great, and the amenities are fantastic.

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Living on broad street is convenient with plenty of good local shops, restaurants, and transportation nearby. Transport links on Broad Street are reliable during weekdays, making commuting easy. Parking availability on Tennant Street is generally good. The area is well-maintained. It’s too bad there aren’t any parks nearby to take pets out for a walk and pets are not allowed on the third floor which is a shame.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management has generally been responsive and professional when issues have been raised. While there have been some ongoing problems such as occasional hot water outages, flies in the building during warmer months.Management has made efforts to address these concerns in a timely manner. Peter and Moses, who are part of the night team, continue to be a real highlight. They are always approachable, helpful, and go above and beyond to support residents. Their presence truly makes a difference, and it would be great if more residents got to experience their excellent service during the day.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

One thing you might not pick up on during a typical viewing is the noise from Broad Street on weekends. It can get quite loud, especially late at night, due to the bars and nightlife in the area. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to noise.

    Manager's response

Thank you Adnan, we really appreciate your time and feedback :)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Pros: close to metro station, close to city centre, plenty of restaurants and groceries store, bin collection within the building which was good Cons: can be loud at times, but as long as you keep your windows closed then it's fine, good soundproof

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

responded promptly, will respond to you after raising issues via the app as well

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

you need to pay to book the screening rooms for watching movies

    Manager's response

Thanks CD for a lovely review. Just to note that our amenity spaces are chargeable for private use/ events only. So pleased you are enjoying our spaces and your experience at The Mercian :)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lots of shops, bars and restaurants in the area and only a short distance away from the building. The street can be hectic at night but quiet usually during the day with a bit of traffic. The building overall is good and the staff in reception are exceptional and all nice. My favourite guys in the building are Peter, Moses and Elliot.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Sometimes it can be slow for the maintenance team to sort things but usually done. The staff on the desk are the best. Moses, Peter and Elliot

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

You have to come all the way down to get rid of your rubbish. It’s not convenient and the rubbish in the bins area smell very bad. I think the managers need to organise regular collection and keep the area cleaner

    Manager's response

Thank you Jingwen- I will be sure to pass on your feedback to our fab nights team :)
