The area of East Glasgow has improved greatly in the last few years with good investment from the Clyde Gateway Regeneration Company and the ongoing impact of the Commonwealth Games Legacy Programme.

For outdoor enthusiasts this area provides a wealth of activities. Drumpellier Country Park and Loch View Family golf centre are about 2.5 miles to the east.
