Description

Beautiful upper flat of 976 square feet, with a Freehold-share, two double bedrooms, a bathroom and shower room, and a private south-facing roof terrace.

Find your new home within a traditional Victorian bay-fronted terrace, on a popular residential street between the stations and town centres of Nunhead (a seven minute walk) and Brockley (nine).

You share a hall with just one flat below yours. High ceilings impress from the off. Open your own front door and take stairs up to half-landing level. To the rear of the property you have your generous, double-aspect kitchen/dining room - of nearly 20 feet by nearly 11 feet - with stripped and treated original floorboards. A large and south-facing bay window is the perfect spot for your table and chairs.

Next door is the main bathroom: a modern windowed affair with concealed plumbing, contemporary white sanitaryware and smart fittings.

From your landing proper, your first double bedroom is on your right, of over 12 feet by 11 feet. Then across the front of the building is your large reception room of 17 feet by over 14 feet. Stripped floors and alcove storage are welcome features.

On your way to the second floor, you'll find your roof terrace - a quiet decked number, great for your pot plants and for chilling out in the sun.

Your second floor delivers a skylit sleek shower room, and the large principal bedroom of nearly 13 feet by over 10 feet. Accessible eaves storage takes good care of the things you don't need every day. In front of this is well-considered fitted storage for clothes.

Local green spaces include Hilly Fields and, more locally, Telegraph Hill's Victorian parks. The lower park hosts a chilled Saturday market, while the upper boasts tennis courts. On the market topic... Brockley Market (also a Saturday one) is also a corker - walk here in about 15 minutes.

There are lots of good nurseries and schools really locally, including John Stainer Community Primary and Haberdashers' Hatcham Free School.

Nunhead - with its high street and village feel - is really close: we like Ayres bakery, Mother Superior wine store/deli, and FC Soper wet fish shop, as well as El Vermut, The Old Nun's Head and The Pyrotechnists Arms.

Brockley has got some top places for food and drink - including Ellary's, Mauby and Tai. Find fine coffee at Browns of Brockley and Good as Gold. Brickfields is spot on for delightful cocktails, and we rate Brockley Brewery highly as well.

New Cross is close as well - with its pretty, historical buildings, and growing number of pubs and eateries - including The Rose Inn, The Earl of Derby and The Amersham Arms. Thanks hugely to Goldsmiths University, New Cross attracts a cool creative crowd and even has its own contemporary art gallery: Goldsmiths CCA.

Deptford High Street and Broadway are no great distance either - for classy restaurants including Marcella and The Watergate, and there are lots of independent bars and eateries in Deptford Market Yard to suit all budgets and tastes.

Trendy Peckham is also easily-reached for more options. Some of our favourite SE15 places are Peckham Bazaar, The Begging Bowl, Mr Bao, Ganapati, Peckham Levels and The Bussey Building.
