As a couple who were both working full-time, the practicalities were key. The ground-floor access was a major draw and the layout offered us exactly the space we needed without being overwhelming to maintain.
What truly sold us, however, was the incredible convenience of the location. Being just a stone's throw from the medical centre, with our GP and dentist so close by, gave us such peace of mind. Our weekly shop became a breeze with the Co-op nearby and we’ve spent many quiet afternoons in the local library. Having the chemists, the vibrant Village Hall and beautiful parks all within a short walk meant everything we needed for a comfortable, fulfilling life was right on our doorstep.
We made this place our own when we moved in with a fresh coat of paint throughout, and we upgraded the bathroom to include a shower, which has been so practical. We never felt the need to extend or make drastic changes; the property’s layout has just worked perfectly for us all these years.
The transport links have served us impeccably. Mitcham Eastfields station is a steady 20-minute walk away, and we’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve hopped on the frequent buses that run to all corners of South London-to Croydon for shopping, Clapham for a night out, or Purley to see friends. It’s been an ideal base for commuters."
