Description

Set on the quiet side of the award-winning Gainsford Road development, this ground-floor one-bedroom flat feels like the best of East London living - light-soaked, thoughtfully designed, and with that rarest of city luxuries: your own private decked terrace and garden.

Step inside and you’re greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows that drench the space in daylight, bouncing across laminate wood floors for an airy, modern feel. The open-plan living area is made for both quiet nights and hosting friends, while the freshly tiled kitchen keeps things sleek with an integrated oven, hob, extractor, fridge freezer, full-size dishwasher, and soft-close cabinetry. The double bedroom is a calm retreat, paired with a modern bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, and striking floor-to-ceiling tiles. There’s also a utility cupboard with space for laundry and extra storage, because smart living is all about the details.

The flat is as practical as it is stylish: energy-efficient insulation keeps bills low, while fitted double glazing means cosiness year-round. Designed by Gort Scott Architects and completed in 2018, the development has become known for its contemporary low-rise style and community-first ethos, with secure entry systems, CCTV, a communal garden with allotment planters, and bike storage all on offer.

Outside, you’re plugged straight into the best of Walthamstow. Lloyd Park and the Walthamstow Wetlands are just a short walk for leafy escapes, while weekends are easily filled with craft beers on the Blackhorse Beer Mile, neon nights at God’s Own Junkyard, or sourdough and flat whites from Today Bread. Foodies will love Crate E17 and the ever-changing Walthamstow Market, while Walthamstow Village remains the go-to for Sunday roasts and indie charm.

This isn’t just a flat. It’s a stylish, low-maintenance home with outdoor space and community spirit - the perfect base for soaking up everything E17 has to offer.

About haart, Walthamstow

143-145 Hoe Street, London, E17 3AL
Industry affiliations:

haart Walthamstow

Walthamstow is 12 miles north east of central London. From here a range of stations will get you quickly into the West End or through to Liverpool Street if you work in the City. The M11 and M25 are easily accessible too.

Walthamstow Village has long been popular thanks to its ancient church, almshouses and pretty cottages. It also has some lovely independent shops and cafes and characterful Edwardian and Victorian homes. The rest of the area was badly bombed during WWII, so properties are more modern, but the whole of Walthamstow is now in demand for its affordability and sense of cool.

First time buyers as well as families are flocking here, many upsizing from nearby Shoreditch and Hackney, and drawn here by the good primary and secondary schools.

The haart Walthamstow office is open Monday to Saturday. Come and see us at 134-145 Hoe Street.
