Description
The property's wide frontage allows ample parking, complemented by established lawns and greenery that enhance its inviting approach. A spacious, light-filled entrance hall with generous storage and a stylish cloakroom sets the tone for the well-planned interior.
At the heart of the home is a contemporary kitchen, refurbished six years ago with sleek cabinetry, contrasting worktops, and integrated appliances, including a new electric hob. Flowing into the dining room, the space is perfect for family meals or entertaining, with a large window framing garden views. The adjoining dual-aspect sitting room extends this sense of openness, with French doors leading onto a raised patio—ideal for seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Upstairs, a generous landing leads to three double bedrooms, all with built-in storage. The principal bedroom stands out with its dual-aspect views over the grounds. A modern shower room with a walk-in enclosure, marble-effect panelling, and a vanity unit with automated lighting adds a touch of spa-like luxury, complemented by a separate cloakroom.
The south-facing garden is a highlight, thoughtfully designed for relaxation, entertaining, and enjoying nature. A full-width patio leads down to sweeping lawns edged with mature trees and shrubs. At the heart, a natural pond attracts wildlife, while a summerhouse—currently styled as a “gin shack”—offers light and power for flexible use.
For gardening enthusiasts, the grounds are abundant with apple, pear, plum, and damson trees, complemented by wild orchids, an organic vegetable garden, and a greenhouse. Practical features include gated vehicle access onto Ashlake Copse Road and pedestrian access on both sides of the house.
What the Owner says:
This property has been my home for over 40 years and over the changing decades it has met my every need. The house has always been well maintained and upgraded as necessary and the garden, always a source of pleasure, has been my joy since retiring a few years ago.
Fishbourne is a friendly community and a lovely place to live. I have experienced countless happy times and have made many friends from among my neighbours. There are plenty of walks nearby both on the shore and in the countryside. The ferry is so convenient, Fishbourne Inn and RVYC are on the doorstep and I have enjoyed giving support to the Community at Quarr Abbey, which in recent years has had an interesting programme of events during the summer.
It has always been a pleasure to live in 67 and enjoy everything that Fishbourne has to offer. It is my sincerest wish that whoever next owns this property will get as much from living here as I have done.
