Description

Honeycombe Cottage is a delightful Victorian home, beautifully positioned on The Green and steeped in village history, having once been the old sweet shop. Full of period charm and warmth, this picturesque cottage offers characterful living space thoughtfully arranged over two floors — an ideal haven for a downsizer, professional couple, or first-time buyer seeking a home in the heart of the village

Stepping inside, the welcoming main living area immediately conveys a sense of comfort and charm. The cosy sitting space centres around a pretty Victorian fireplace with decorative tiled surround and there is a dining area — perfect for relaxed evenings or entertaining friends.

The kitchen, stylishly fitted offers a comprehensive range of units and quality finishes. Integrated appliances include an induction hob and electric oven, and dishwasher, with space for a tall fridge/freezer and plumbing for a washing machine. French doors open directly onto the garden, allowing a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. Under floor heating is in the dining and kitchen area.

The ground-floor bathroom has been tastefully refitted, featuring a bath with shower over, WC with concealed cistern, and a contemporary vanity unit — combining comfort with modern convenience.

Upstairs, the principal bedroom is bathed in natural light and enjoys views over The Green. Elegant shutters and fitted wardrobes enhance both style and practicality. The second bedroom also includes built-in storage and is currently used as a study, offering a peaceful space for work or reading.

Outside
The charming cottage garden is south facing and a wonderful extension of the home, designed for enjoyment and ease of maintenance. A paved terrace provides the perfect spot for morning coffee or summer dining, leading onto a lawn bordered by mature planting and colourful shrubs. A garden shed sits to the rear
