We moved in to this house 8 years ago as the first house that we bought together. During our time here our family has grown, and we’re only leaving as we’d like a bit more space.

When we first viewed the house it was the ideal property for a first house, with enough space to expand and bigger than the smaller terraces we had rented in the area.

The separate lounge at the front of the house, with a newly added bay window seat (including storage) is nicely secluded from the kitchen and dining room towards the back. Unlike many Victorian terrace houses, the house has an upstairs bathroom, allowing for a much bigger kitchen! There is also lots of storage space in the loft with a boarded area in the middle.

We enjoyed having the new bathroom put in which gave us more storage and a much more open room, and our new kitchen is probably our favourite room inside the house. We’re really happy with the bright and modern kitchen and the high-end appliances we chose have made it even better.
The decking in the garden has been a great space for entertaining. It’s nice and warm throughout the day, but gets enough shade in the summer evening that it cools down enough to sit outside and relax. We’ve added a vegetable bed that allows us to get outside even more and our toddler has enjoyed playing in the garden.

Our favourite bit of the property is the new office at the bottom of the garden. Building it freed up inside space to allow our family to grow, and with both power and lighting it has been a great place to work from home or do gym workouts, with the added benefit of allowing us to have an EV charger at the back.

The location is great as well; we’re only 10-15 mins from Reading station and the town centre so it’s quiet but connected, and about the same distance from the centre of Caversham where there are lots of little cafes or pubs. Everything really is on the doorstep.

Debbie and Andre's comments
This two bed terraced home has been significantly refurbished by the current owners and has everything that could be needed in a period home in the heart of Caversham. The layout is superb and offers everything that a couple or growing family could need. Traditionally, these homes would have a standard layout of lounge, dining room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs and three bedrooms upstairs. access to bedroom 3 is often via the second bedroom, limiting the possibility of harmonious usable living.

Not this one! Downstairs, we have a great snug/lounge which has a lovely bay window with storage seating, perfect for watching the world go by.
The dining room has outside access and leads seamlessly onto the kitchen which has high end appliances, minerva work tops and stylish shaker units. French doors take you out to a super long garden, a brand new purpose built office/gym, parking space (super rare in this area) and electric charging point.
If that's not unique enough, upstairs has the much coveted layout of two good sized bedrooms and a spacious, modern bathroom, all accessed by the addition of a corridor meaning that each rom offers complete privacy. The location couldn't be better, the road is corderned off by bollards just past this lovely home meaning that cars do not drive past.

Caversham independent stores and cafes are a short walk away.
The walk into Reading town centre and the station could not be easier and is just a short walk along the picturesque river thames.

We think this is a fantastic home that really stands out from the rest, offering a perfect home for singles, couples or young families and we are delighted to offer it for sale.
