Pulling up outside, I notice there are a couple of bars, a convenience shop and also a COSTA coffee....although where can you go where there isn't one of these!! We step into the main foyer, where there is a full time concierge who'll help you or your guests with anything required, within reason!
Take the lift, or if you're feeling energetic, the stairs to the 2nd floor, where after just a few strides, you're at your own front door. This building looks like no other apartment block that I've ever visited in my 38 years on the job, it really is remarkable.
Stepping inside the apartment, there's a sheltered entrance hallway that's perfect for shoes and coats. We are greeted with light, wood effect flooring that runs the whole way around the apartment. This not only keep it refreshingly light throughout, but also adds a real touch of quality and class. An entry phone on the wall means that you can buzz guests in without having to traipse downstairs.
Turning right as we walk inside, we enter into the lounge. This is a generous space that can easily take a large corner sofa, as well as other free standing furniture. The present owners have a desk in here, but the room can be reconfigured to your taste and style. There's a large wall, perfect for your huge TV, to creating an almost cinematic space. It's kept nice and bright courtesy of the large sliding door that leads to the first, yes I did say first, balcony. Now, this is what makes this apartment different to most of the others on the market, you have two balconies and a place to dine indoors, unlike most! But I'll get to this in a moment.
As we step outside onto the balcony, we are offered views over Manchester, and it also provides a nice place to sit and unwind after a hard days work, golf, crochet, or whatever it is that keeps you busy! If you like to people watch, then what better place to do it, then from the comfort of your own home.
Back inside and turn right again, we come to the kitchen / diner area. As I said, this is where this apartment is different to others because here, we have a dining area, that would normally just be the balcony. This is indoors and provides a space for a 4 - 6 seat table, so you can socialise with guests comfortably or just eat on your own, whichever fits best! If you are a social butterfly, then your friends will be fluttering around here all the time.
The kitchen is modern and stylish, as you'd expect to find in here. Kitted out with high end appliances and solid work surfaces, this is a place to create some Gourmet meals, or just simply unwrap the take away boxes as they get delivered. Ample floor and wall mounted units provide a place for everything you'll need.
From the kitchen, still continuing our anti-clockwise walk, we come to the bedroom. But before we discuss the bedroom, a patio door slides open to reveal a private balcony for the bedroom, this is number two balcony. Much like the first balcony, you can sit and watch the world go by, or just nip out in the morning when you wake and have a nice cuppa.
The bedroom is a decent sized, perfectly laid out to accommodate a large double bed, as well as a freestanding wardrobe and other pieces of accompanying furniture. A large door opens to a handy built in wardrobe, storage area.
If we continue walking around, the next door that we come to opens into the bathroom. This is centrally positioned and offers everything, perfectly placed, that you'll ever need to keep clean. There's a freestanding toilet, a floating sink and then a bath that is wedged into the perfect space to fit a bath. There's a shower attachment too, for all of those hard to reach places, and a heated towel rail, to insure you will never go cold.
Opposite the bathroom is a large sliding door which hides a huge storage area, with shelves and plumbing for a washing machine, as well as something to do with the heating. The present owner has a fridge in here for beers....other drinks can be kept in here as well!
If we go to the basement of the building, we find our allocated parking space. If you have more than one car, it is possible to obtain more spaces....but this is your ideal place to lose the car and start walking or using public transport to get around.....try it, you might just like it.
