"It has been a pleasure and privilege to have been a custodian of this lovely this house for 46 years. I have seen 5 children grow up here attending the local schools and taking part in community groups such as brownies, guides and youth club pantomime.

The house has been extended and modernised over time to accommodate a growing family and has provided us with ample space for entertaining, children’s parties and great family Christmases. The garden has been a delight to develop over the years and now has well established borders containing a range of shrubs and flowers. It is totally enclosed and tranquil, just right for a relaxing afternoon or evening. The sunny patio has provided us with tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and runner beans this year.

Crosspool has a lively community spirit with local events and a friendly atmosphere where people of all ages are welcome. Living so close to the Peak District, Lodge Moor as well as Endcliffe Park and Rivelin has given us many opportunities as a family for walking, exploring or visiting places of interest."
