When we first viewed this property, it was the location which sold it for us being a short walk to the picturesque Old Town with all the amenities – the house was in need of some work, but a project is what we were looking for to add our own flair! Almost 20 years on with all our home improvements finished we are delighted with the result you will now see.
As part of our home improvements, we removed the old coal bunker and outside toilet which have been replaced with the wrap around extension to include the large family lounge/diner, open plan kitchen, utility room and downstairs shower room.
We have landscaped the front garden and to the rear we have re-designed this space to incorporate a large patio, custom built home office and a second patio with gazebo.
Upon entering our home, you step from the foyer into the welcoming hallway leading to our front lounge. This space is decorated with muted décor – cosy, welcoming and beautiful light flowing through the bay window. It is a wonderful place to sit and relax after a long day. Simply idyllic.
Further down the hallway is the heart of the home our stunning open plan kitchen/diner with second lounge area. The kitchen has been meticulously designed to give a clean contemporary finish with flairs of colour with our piano and guitars. This is the ideal place to host friends and family. We have bi-fold doors leading into the private enclosed rear garden and it is wonderful during the summer months to let the sunshine in.
In addition to all this downstairs, we also have a shower room, perfect to stop those fights for the bathroom in the morning and a separate utility area!
Leading outside is our peaceful garden. We have our outside room which we use as an office, but this would make the ideal home gym, bar, additional playroom for the children it offers endless possibilities! We have our grassed area and patio as well as our gazebo which is beautiful to sit under and soak up some sun during the summer months. It is such a treat.
Upstairs you will find three good bedrooms and our main family bathroom, all with a clean white finish to give a fresh feel.
We have a driveway to the front for convenient parking.
Our home is perfectly situated a short walk from the old town hustling and bustling with bars, restaurants and an array of boutique shops. It is picturesque and offers every amenity. We have the main line train station with its high speed links to London within 30 minutes. We are in the catchment area to excellent local schools to include Letchmore Infant school, Barclay Academy & Thomas Alleynes.
