Further stone walls separate the end of the drive from a sloping lawn down to the mill stream with a path leading to a bridge. The hedged front boundary is interrupted by a now purely decorative, listed carved stone entrance with wrought iron gates. There are established borders at the front of the barn planted with a variety of trees and shrubs such as prunus, lilac and mahonia; a stone path leads to the front door.
Rear
Accessed by French doors from each reception room, the paved courtyard garden is fundamental to the layout. There is another terrace beyond the sitting room gable end which is enclosed by a stone wall and overlooks the mill stream and weeping willow. Beyond the bridge is the lawned island garden which has the river Great Ouse tributary as a boundary. Locality
The village of Radclive is within a conservation area and was recorded in the Domesday Book. It has a range of period houses including Radclive Manor which is near the church. It is located off the A421, 2 miles west of the market town of Buckingham which has a range of shopping and leisure facilities including health clubs, parks, a golf club (which is within walking distance of the property), and a swimming pool complex as well as primary schools, a secondary school, and the Royal Latin School. A wider range of shopping is approximately 15 miles away in Milton Keynes, which has one of the largest covered shopping centres in Europe as well as leisure facilities including a theatre, cinemas, and an indoor ski slope.
