Our furnished kitchens feature integrated appliances, including a full size fridge-freezer, oven and induction hob, and washer-dryer (giving you all the convenience of running your home, without leaving your Studio Apartment). While our largest Studio Apartments feature dedicated dining tables, our remaining Studio Apartments each come with chic and stylish breakfast bars, giving each resident a dedicated dining area.
Each Studio Apartment comes with plenty of storage space, with bedside tables and wardrobes as standard, with over-bed storage available in many of our Studio Apartments and built-in underbed storage included in all. You'll also have your own living area, complete with sofa, coffee table, media unit, making your Studio Apartment truly move-in ready.

Reserving your studio apartment couldn't be easier
As with all rental properties in Wales, you'll need to pass reference checks in order to live at Fitz & Knox. We also undertake some additional checks. If you answer 'no' to any of the following questions we will unfortunately not be able to progress your enquiry to live at Fitz & Knox.
*Do you have a clear credit file (i.e. you've never received a CCJ)?
*Are you solvent (i.e. you've never been declared bankrupt)?
*Is your credit score over 175? (If you're not sure then use one of the online free credit check websites)
*Do you earn 1.7 x the annual rent value? For example, if your monthly rent is £700 you'll need to earn at least £14,280 per year before tax. If you don't earn enough then you may be able to rent using a Guarantor.
Your Guarantor must-
- be a UK homeowner
- have a UK bank account
- earn a minimum of 3 x the annual cost of the property you want to rent
- agree to be your Guarantor and have reference checks carried out on them
Please note if you looking to live here while studying, you will need to go through our standard referencing process and provide a UK homeowner as a guarantor (see above). Unfortunately, we are unable to accept a company or a foreign embassy as a guarantor.
If you feel you may struggle to meet the referencing criteria, or do not have a UK Guarantor, please speak to our Residents' Team to discuss the options that may be available.
Once you have submitted your application and successfully answered our Pre-Viewing Qualification Questions, sanction screening will be conducted on all applicants before the reservation is progressed. This is required by the Landlord of this property but Fresh will take care of everything for you - please see our Booking Terms and Conditions for more information.
We offer complete flexibility with your deposit so once you've passed our reference checks we will ask you to decide between paying a traditional deposit or making a one-off non-refundable check-in fee payment to our partner Flatfair, but don't worry, we will provide you with all the info you need to make the decision. Please see our FAQs for more information.
Once that's done and payment has been made, you will then receive your Occupation Contract to sign. Your first rent instalment will then be due 7 days before the start of your tenancy, and then you're ready to move in!
At Fitz & Knox, your rent includes HIGH-SPEED WIFI, water, and energy. Utilities are subject to a fair usage policy, please contact us for information about how we verify your energy usage.
If you choose to pay a deposit, we keep your deposit safe in the Government approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme.

Before starting your booking please take a look at our Terms and Conditions. Here's our sample Occupation Contract which you will be asked to sign if you choose Flatfair's No Deposit check-in fee. If you opt to provide a traditional deposit your Occupation Contract will be slightly different. Please ask our Residents Team if you'd like to view a sample of this. Please also look at our Fee schedule for details of any charges that may apply during your Occupation Contract.
Council tax bands for each of our Studio Apartments and apartments are currently under review, however we anticipate our apartments will fall into a C band. Please refer to Cardiff City Council's website for the latest information on council tax fees and exemptions.
We are predicted an EPC rating of 14, placing us in the A rating band.
