Description

This beautifully extended four-bedroom family home sits on the park side of Queen’s Park most established and sought-after residential street. Offering a rich blend of period character, it is thoughtfully designed throughout and delivers generous proportions, excellent natural light and a layout that works perfectly for family life.

The ground floor has been carefully reconfigured and extended to create a superb open-plan living and dining space, centred around a sleek contemporary kitchen fitted with Miele appliances, large central island, extensive bespoke cabinetry, integrated waste disposal, generous prep space and clean, elegant finishes. It’s a kitchen designed to be used properly, whether that’s day-to-day family cooking or hosting and entertaining on a larger scale. Large bi-fold doors open directly onto the landscaped private garden, creating a strong and clean connection between inside and out and making the space ideal for children, pets, entertaining or relaxed everyday living.

The garden itself has been thoughtfully designed and includes a smart, wood-clad garden house which works perfectly as a home office, while also providing excellent additional storage. A genuinely practical addition and asset for modern working life.

Upstairs, the house offers four well-proportioned bedrooms, all benefiting from excellent natural light. The principal suite is calm and well balanced, complete with built-in wardrobes and a beautifully finished en-suite bathroom. A contemporary family bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms, all finished with quality fixtures and an understated, timeless aesthetic. The loft is spacious and enjoys an en-suite bathroom and plenty of storage.

Beautiful hardwood flooring, excellent built-in storage, a separate utility room and period features & a original period fireplace in the music room complete the picture.

Location-wise, Kempe Road is exceptional. The open green space and tennis courts of Queen’s Park are a short walk away, while Tiverton Green offers a more intimate, dog-friendly green space close by. Salusbury Road is moments away, home to the popular weekend farmers’ market and also a strong mix of independent cafés, restaurants and shops including Milk Beach, Carmel, Michiko Sushino and Planet Organic for everyday convenience. Nearby Chamberlayne Road adds another lively stretch of restaurants, delis and cafés, as well as popular gyms, yoga studios and wellness spots.

The area is particularly popular with families, thanks to a strong selection of well-regarded schools including Salusbury Primary School, Queen’s Park Primary School and Ark Franklin Primary Academy, alongside excellent nurseries and community facilities. Transport links are equally strong, with Queen’s Park Station offering Bakerloo Line and Overground services into Paddington, the West End and the City, while Kensal Rise Station provides fast Overground connections towards Hampstead Heath, Shoreditch and beyond.

There is also a genuine sense of community here, with active street WhatsApp groups, regular neighbourhood get-togethers and well-loved local events in Queen’s Park, from outdoor cinema nights and food festivals to seasonal fairs and family-friendly gatherings.

This is a wonderful family home in a prime location, offering space, quality and the perfect place to make memories.

A word from the owners: We have absolutely loved living here for 17 years.  Kempe Road is the best street in the area.  It is both quiet and convenient, being equidistant between Queens Park and the Tube and Kensal Rise and the Overground.  We love the independent shops and eateries both sides of the Park, which just get better every year.  You can almost touch the Park from our front door, and our kids and Cookie the dog have grown up there.  We use the Park almost every day.

The house is always bright and airy, and we have one of the biggest south-facing gardens in the street.  The garden room we added recently provides flexible working and playing options - home office, gym and kids' gaming room!  The summers are spent with the patio doors folded back and breakfasts on the patio, and the winters with the real fire burning, hot chocolate and making the house super cosy.

Liana & Oli are delighted to be instructed as Sole Agents on this exceptional property.
