Description

Positioned on a private development of just six houses, this contemporary detached home combines modern living with a tranquil setting. Purchased off-plan by the current owners, the property features underfloor heating, bi-fold doors, and a vaulted entrance hall with a mezzanine level, filling the home with light and space. ‘We’ve lived here for just under a year but sadly have to move for a job with a relocation package. We absolutely fell for the property and the area, and if we could pick the whole plot up and take it with us, we would,’ say the owners.
The ground floor comprises a sitting room, home office, kitchen/dining room, utility, and integrated double garage. Upstairs, three bedrooms include a principal suite with walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower room, alongside a family bathroom. ‘The main bedroom has such a lovely high ceiling, and the double-height window on the stairs fills the space with beautiful morning light,’ the owners add. Since moving in, they have made enhancements to personalise the space, adding plantation shutters and custom touches to make it feel like home. ‘We’ve spent a fair bit of money to “de-new” the rooms and make the house feel more homely and individual. It’s been a really enjoyable project,’ they say.
The garden spans three levels and provides a blank canvas for outdoor projects, while the driveway accommodates three cars and offers access to both sides of the property. ‘The garden is quiet and peaceful, perfect for enjoying nature,’ they note.
The property is ideally located on the edge of the Cotswolds with a local nature reserve on the doorstep, and excellent access to Bath and Bristol. Local amenities include country pubs, a primary school within walking distance, and nearby shops. ‘We’ve loved being able to step straight into the nature reserve from the house, while still having Bath and Bristol so close for shopping and days out,’ the owners reflect.
Neighbours are friendly and considerate, adding to the sense of community. ‘Everyone’s polite and nice,’ they say.

‘The morning light in the main bedroom is wonderful, and we’ve loved having the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe.’

‘The kitchen, dining area, and bi-folds make summer entertaining a joy.’

‘The garden is deceptively large and has been perfect for outdoor living and al fresco dining.’

‘This house offers the best of both worlds – peaceful country living with excellent access to towns and cities.’
