The house is located on a quiet lane in the old part of town, with almost no traffic.

From the lane, we enter the open space living / dining room / kitchen. The kitchen is totally equipped with new appliances. From the kitchen there is a direct access to a fully tiled modern bathroom with glass encased shower basin, hand wash basin with storage cupboard underneath and toilet. On the far side of the living room there is a wooden staircase to the landing on the first floor. From this landing we have access to the enormous terrace to the side of the house. There are far reaching views into the landscape from here, and plenty of space to install an outdoor kitchen and/or bbq, and place an above ground splash pool to cool down on hot summer days.

From the corridor, which is L-shaped there is first a fully tiled family bathroom with large walk-in shower, hand wash basin with storage cupboard underneath and toilet. We have two large bedrooms with windows facing the lane, and a third, albeit smaller bedroom with window towards the back terrace.

All the windows and doors are aluminum framed, the windows are sliding, and double glazed, with aluminum shutters. There is split AC in each division of the house, except for the bathrooms.

Vila de Rei is known for its unique status as the geodesic center of Portugal, the geographical location equidistant from the northern, southern, eastern and western points of the country. The geodesic mark can be seen from the terrace of the house.
Vila de Rei is a medium sized town with a variety of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, schools, health centers, sports centers, museums, pharmacies, banks, post office and parks. It is 15 minutes by car to the larger towns of Sertã and Ferreria do Zêzere, with all the facilities of larger towns, including weekly markets.

There are a good number of river beaches in the area, and many walking trails.

The closest airport is situated at Lisbon, which is just a little less than two hours by car, driving on fast roads.
