It's also a haven for bird watchers, with over 200 bird species identified, as well as sightings of Black eagles, African fish eagles, and Spotted eagle owls. The streams still host endangered Breede River Redfin, as well as resident waterfowl and Malachite kingfishers. The valley is home to wildlife such as the Cape Leopard, Caracal, Duiker, and Grysbok.

The historic gabled Manor house dated 1764 was most likely the original farmhouse of the farm Norree and still has its beautiful yellow wood ceilings and thick walls,, overlooking the vineyards. Next door is the flour mill at the Old Mill house which was turned by the passing mountain stream and supplied wheat flour to the nearby farmers and transport riders.
The property also includes a historic 'meul huis' where wheat was ground for flour. The seven high-end cottages have private plunge pools, covered braai facilities, parking, fireplaces, and full DSTV, all providing stunning views of the farmlands and mountains.

The wine crops are delivered to a well-known winery, while the olive production is sent to an award-winning olive oil press. The property includes well-appointed manager and labourer cottages for staff accommodation.
