Balmashie is about three miles from St Andrews. The town is renowned worldwide as the Home of Golf. There are now eight golf courses managed by The Links Trust in St Andrews. From the roundabout at the east end of South Street in the centre of St Andrews drive south on Abbey Street (A917). Continue along St Mary Street and out of town, keeping left at the mini-roundabouts onto the A917 signposted to Crail.
