Location

The property is located in a quiet village approximately 10 minutes from Castelnau-Magnoac, a vibrant marketing town with a good selection of shops, cafés and restaurants.  Market day is on Saturday mornings and specialises on tasty treats from the region.  Castelnau has a thriving year round community.  

There is a primary school in the village and the secondary school is just 15 minutes away with a bus service.  There is an active tennis club which is very welcoming to new members and has regular Isa competitions with other clubs in the neighbourhood.  In addition to tennis, the French rugby captain, Antoine Dupont hails from Castelnau so, as you can imagine, the local rugby club is particularly vibrant and well attended.  

The 75 hectare lake on the edge of town is well worth a visit and there’s plenty of water sports on offer.  It’s also a potential destination to head over to on the horses for a lake-side picnic.  As you'd expect with those epic mountain views, the Pyrénées are not far away and it's just 45mins to the nearest ski resort.

Other towns and places of interest that are well worth exploring in the area include Boulogne-sur-Gesse, Lac de la Simone and Auch.  The airports of Tarbes Lourdes Airport and Toulouse Blagnac Airport can be reached in approximately 55 minutes and 1 hour 25 minutes respectively.
