On the first floor is a hallway / study with access to terrace with views, 2 bedrooms plus a second bathroom. A modern staircase connects the two levels and the accommodation is generally bright and airy, with large windows and plenty of natural light.

Outside, a level garden surrounds the house, with a portico offering shade in the summer, plus gently sloping land below. The first-floor terrace has amazing views.

The bustling town hosts many cultural events over the summer with concerts in the piazza and reenactments of medieval parades. With its musical heritage the town also attracts international musicians during the annual folk music festival and there is also a famous food festival. There is a hospital, shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the pretty town. Aulla, the gateway to Lunigiana, is one the largest towns in the area. Nestled beneath the imposing fortress 'La Brunella', Aulla has become a commercial centre with independent shops, large supermarkets, medical centre, mainline railway station and motorway junction. There is a good selection of excellent bars and cafes, pizzerias and places to eat, and a busy street market fills the town centre every Saturday morning.

Lunigiana is a magical part of Tuscany. The rolling landscape is liberally sprinkled with castles of Medici or Malaspina vintage and for lovers of the coast the sea is only a short hop away. The golden sandy beaches around Lerici and the pebble coves of the Cinque Terre are ideal for swimming and sailing. The area is criss-crossed with marked footpaths for walks to the hills and mountains and the views are stunning. The airports of Pisa, Parma and Genova are all just over an hour away.

Distances: Fivizzano (shops, supermarkets, restaurants) 12 km, Aulla (autostrada) 12 kms, Cerreto Laghi (skiing) 30 km, Lerici (beaches) 30 km, Cinque Terre (UNESCO WH site) 40 km, Lucca 90 km, Pisa (airport) 95 km.
