Buillt by Archie Del Marez
Archie Del Marez was a California entrepreneur and a self made millionaire who developed and patented the CMOD digital heart pacemaker. In the 1980's Archie, who was an avid sailor, moved to St. Lucia and built Xanadu as his private residence. He also purchased land around Rodney Bays lagoon and constructed the now famous Rodney Bay Marina, hence the nautical elements throughout the design of Villa Xanadu.
The unique and magnificent design of Villa Xanadu, in St Lucia was inspired by the famous domed city of pleasure, called Xanadu and created by the Mogul ruler Kubla Khan in China during the 12th century.
