The Commercial centre in the Resort also has 2 restaurants and some boutique shops and bakery and its own golf shop. Just a few minutes' drive from Valle del Este is Vera with its cobbled streets, tapas bars and bustling markets. The large long white sandy beaches of Vera playa are stunning and there are many lovely restaurants and bars along the promenade which on spring and summer evenings is full of life with the tradition of paseo when the Spanish have their evening stroll after their Siesta.

Also located 10 min from Valle del Este will be the new high speed train link AVE which will have a station in Vera which is predicted to be finished in 2027 and will link Almeria with major cities such as Murcia, Barcelona and Madrid. The motorway connections are all very good and from Valle del Este Almeria can be reached in 1hr and Murcia in the other direction 1hr and a half and Alicante in 2 hrs.
