“We have loved our time on Calcott Road, it has a welcoming, relaxed feel about the place, we’ve cultivated a broad versatility in how the house works because we are interested in adaptable spaces. From the original top room on the second floor to the back kitchen pantry the house is full of light, space, design and has seen family life, home working , and has been great for having people over and convivial living in the years we have been here. Our spacious front room is cosy, with a wood burner, the kitchen diner opens onto a large, patio and on to a well-stocked garden including roses, hydrangeas and honey-suckle. There is an interactive space between our garage, side gate, the lane and our neighbours, when our children were little, it was an extension of the house/garden. There is an active, helpful what’s app group on hand to lend/help/socialize in the street and it is a lovely community where we have friends. And it has been the best of places to raise our family.”

The home

A unique semi-detached house on Calcott Road which has been a much loved home for many years with plenty of original features throughout. Downstairs to the front is a large living room with large bay window overlooking the street and a log burner. The rear of the house has been opened up to create a sunny dining room which leads to the kitchen. The dining room has double doors out to the garden at the back and wooden floors.
