Description
On the ground floor is the renovated living area with access to a large balcony which gets the sun in the morning and during the day. The kitchen facilities are in place but they are a temporary measure for the new owner to decide what might work better for them.
Off the living space is a bathroom with WC; this has the original tiles and an "escargot" shower cubicle which would be easy to replace. Alternatively, you might think it adds to the quirky charm.
There are two sets of stairs; a spiral staircase to the first floor and wooden stairs to the lower floor.
On the top floor, the balcony runs the length of the house past two of the bedrooms. The third bedroom has a beautiful view of the mountain range of La Plagne. One bedroom has a door and wall struts but needs the balcony to be fitted. The three bedrooms share a bathroom.
On the lower ground floor is the fourth bedroom and second bathroom. The owners have renovated the space well making use of the uneven walls in this older property. Lovely touches such as a shelf set into the wall and colourful tiles give this room a unique feel.
The cellar and storage area are on this level and there is another access to the garden.
The land with the house runs down to the stream called the Ormente. There are several levels to the garden and each could have a different use; terrace and barbecue area, play area for the children, vegetable plot for the summer months.
The roof space of the house is yet to be developed and the views from the top of the house along the valley are stunning.
Aime is a traditional alpine town in the Tarentaise Valley with practical everyday amenities and excellent transport links that make it appealing for full-time living or as a base for a holiday home. The town is served by Gare d’Aime-La Plagne with SNCF TER regional services and seasonal TGV/Eurostar trains, offering direct connections to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Albertville, Chambéry, Lyon and Paris.
In the town you’ll find a good selection of shops and services and for dining out there’s a range of restaurants. The town has local services such as schools, banks, pharmacies and health services, traditional markets and lots of community events such as the "Jeudis d'Aime" with live music in the centre of town every Thursday
Aime’s location in the valley places it just minutes from major alpine outdoor activities. In winter it’s a gateway to skiing and snow sports with regular shuttle services and easy access to the vast Paradiski of La Plagne and Les Arcs, whilst in summer the surrounding mountains offer hiking, mountain biking as well as the cycle path from Aime to Bourg which runs past the Plan d'eau lake; a fabulous destination.
It's on your doorstep!
