Description

The Sellers View
Having both grown up in the village, moving to George Street in 2019 felt incredibly special. We had walked past these beautiful period homes so many times and never imagined we would one day live in one ourselves.

From the moment we arrived, the house felt like home. It is bright, surprisingly spacious for a character property, and full of charm. The layout has worked brilliantly for us, giving us room to cook, entertain and spend quality time with family and friends. The sunny garden has been a real highlight, along with the sheltered courtyard which acts as a true sun trap and is perfect for relaxing outdoors from the first signs of spring through to the height of summer.

Living on George Street places you right in the heart of the village, and Kingsclere is a location with a real sense of community. There is a welcoming atmosphere, a friendly neighbourhood feel and a lifestyle that suits all stages of life. Having grown up here, it has been wonderful to experience the village in a new way as our family has grown, with everything you need close by and a strong community spirit that makes it easy to feel at home.

Each home on George Street has its own story, and that is part of what makes this setting so special. This house has been cared for and cherished over the years, and it has been a privilege to be part of its history. While we are sad to be moving on, we are excited for the next owners to enjoy everything this character home and village lifestyle have to offer, just as we have.

The Agents View
This is one of those homes that instantly feels special. A beautiful Grade II listed, two bedroom semi detached home, finished to a really high standard throughout and full of character in all the right places.

As you step inside, you are welcomed by a hallway with lovely tiled flooring, setting the tone for what is to come. The living room sits at the front of the home and is a cosy, relaxing space, complete with a log burner and useful under stair storage. It is the kind of room you look forward to coming back to at the end of the day.

To the rear, the kitchen diner is a real highlight. It is a brilliant space for day to day living as well as entertaining, with plenty of room to cook, dine and spend time together. From here, a door leads out to the garden, which is a fantastic size and enjoys a south facing aspect. It is a real sun trap, with a long lawn and a couple of useful outbuildings for additional storage.

Upstairs, the main bedroom is a great size and full of charm, with a feature fireplace and built in storage. The second bedroom is a comfortable double and works just as well as a nursery or a work from home space. The shower room has been finished in a modern style while still complementing the character of the home.

Homes like this do not come up often, especially in such a central village setting. While there is no allocated parking, everything you need is within easy reach, which is very much part of the lifestyle here.

The Area View
George Street sits right in the heart of Kingsclere, one of those villages that really does offer the best of both worlds. You have that traditional village feel with a strong sense of community, but with everything you need for day to day life within easy reach.

From the front door, you are just a short walk to local shops, cafés and pubs, including the ever popular Bel and The Dragon, which is a real favourite with locals. Kingsclere C of E Primary School is also close by and well regarded, making this a great spot for families.

Countryside walks are never far away either, with plenty of routes to explore right on your doorstep, adding to the lifestyle on offer here.

For those needing to travel further afield, Kingsclere is well positioned. Newbury and Basingstoke are both a short drive away, offering a wider range of shopping, dining and leisure facilities, as well as mainline train stations with direct links into London. This makes the village a great option for commuters who still want a quieter place to come home to.

It is the balance that really stands out here. A character home in a central village location, with everyday amenities on your doorstep and excellent connections when you need them.
