5Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There are many corner shops and convenience stores in the area and a larger supermarket is only a 20 minute walk away so very handy. Transport links are good with new street station relatively close by and a bus stop just outside of the building. Parking is not great being permit only and no guest parking is available on site which makes guest visiting difficult. The street is not the cleanest and is not the most amazing area but the building itself is lovely and feels very safe.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We have not needed to raise any issues but when we moved in all questions were answered and maintenance requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known there is no guest parking available. It says guest parking on the ila app so would have been nice to know this is not available here.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
It is a short walking distance to the city centre where you would find the best eateries, top shops and entertainments that you can easily spend a whole day there.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Issues with our apartment are usually dealt promptly. I can recall one occasion when our door lock failed to work; it was late at night so there was very little the team could do but wait for it to be fixed the next day. I was reassured by the night staff that he would keep on eyes on our flat and he would come up to the flat and help anytime we felt he was needed. To this day, we are still grateful for that little extra comfort we were given.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I believe that it would be useful to let potential tenants know that this is a pet-friendly building so that people are aware that they will run into furry four legs. As a pet owner myself, I can proudly say that we are highly disciplined pet owners.
Manager's response4Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear that the 24/7 on-site team helps you feel secure and supported, and that you’re enjoying the rooftop gardens and communal spaces—it's great to know they’re making a positive difference, especially for working from home. It’s also wonderful to hear that you’re making the most of the location and everything the city centre has to offer. We appreciate your helpful suggestion about highlighting the pet-friendly nature of the building. Transparency is important to us, and your feedback will certainly be taken into account to better inform future residents. Thank you as well for sharing your experience with our team during the door lock issue. We’re really pleased that our staff were able to provide reassurance and support during that time—it’s exactly the level of care we aim to deliver. We truly value your recommendation and are grateful for your kind words.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The area is close to the city centre and in particular the bullring only a 10-15 min walk. There is a very popular restaurant along the road which is really ideal. There are also small convenience stores with one just a 5 min walk away. There is visitor parking on the street behind hairpin house Warwick street which is ideal for any visitors.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The management is always on hand for any queries and questions the residents have.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I would have preferred a few bays for visitor parking even if there is a small charge. It just makes it ideal and convenient when visitors esp those with young children visit.
Manager's response5Thank you for your detailed feedback—we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re pleased to hear that you feel safe and well-supported, and that the on-site security and gated access contribute positively to your peace of mind. It’s also great to know that the location, nearby amenities, and proximity to the city centre have been beneficial for you. We’re glad our management team has been responsive and helpful when addressing any queries or issues—this is something we always strive to maintain. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding visitor parking. We understand how important convenience is for residents and their guests, especially for families, and we will take this feedback into consideration for future improvements. Thank you again for your recommendation and for sharing your thoughts.

1Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The local area has very limited shops — only a small corner shop nearby, otherwise a 15+ min walk to small supermarkets. There is one bus stop in front of the building, but buses are often crowded and sometimes skip the stop during peak hours. Roadworks over the past two years have affected bus and walking routes, with overground stations a 15–20 min walk and the underground about 30 min. The overground often experiences delays. Parking is difficult, though there is a car park across the street. Traffic noise is low, but the train track right across the building causes vibrations and noise despite good insulation. On the positive side, there’s a nice park 10 min away and Westfield is about a 30 min walk.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Management at ILA (iLiveAround) has mostly ignored emails and requests, rarely providing updates or support when problems arise
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had known how unresponsive the building management (ILA/iLiveAround) can be. Emails and requests are often ignored, and during past issues like power outages or heating problems, residents had to manage much of the inconvenience themselves. Also, the area has limited shops nearby, and transport can be crowded or delayed. It’s worth knowing that while the flats and insulation are good, day-to-day support and communication from management can be very frustrating.
