Location

In 2006 Pensilva was awarded World Heritage Status due to its importance in the Victorian mining boom and has some of the best preserved mine working in the country. It is popular due to close proximity to the open moorland whilst only 20mins from the sea at Looe. The A38 is under 10mins away serving both Bodmin & Plymouth both within 30mins. The A30 at Launceston is only 20mins away. Regular buses run from Pensilva to Liskeard & Callington and Liskeard has a mainline rail station on the London Paddington to Penzance line.  

The moors are literally at the top of the village and about a 10min walk away from the cottage. Pensilva has a doctors surgery, a village shop, highly regarded primary school & Millennium House which is the hub of the village. Millennium House has a gym, bar, library, Community coffee shop, sports hall & function room. Pensilva also has a youth and adult football club.
