Mustard Wharf at Tower Works, LS1

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

In terms of the area, everything is excellent. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the station. The area feels busy at some times, but peaceful to live. Bin collection is efficient. There's no traffic noise. It's a really lovely area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Immediately fixed an issue with the door. Offered a lot of options when there were noise issues.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I do wish I'd been told my apartment was above an empty space that was then redeveloped with very noisy works. This is half on me, I wish I had chance to get to the property to view it before I secured it. But I also do wish the sales team had told me it was above a commercial space. I found out 3 days after moving in that works would be taking place throughout my entire tenancy. This was, unfortunately, just bad timing. And the building management did offer alternative solutions and were very responsive to my complaints. I would say if you work from home do be wary about getting a first floor apartment as the works are very loud given the fact they need to install ceiling, fixtures, etc, from scratch.

    Spring Wharf, BA2

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The location of spring wharf is perfect. For me, I am close to family and a short walk away from the train and town- it ticks every box!

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Quickly and professionally. They are always very polite

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It would have been good to know that the previous WiFi service wasn’t disconnected by the last tenant which caused problems for days after I moved in. Knowing a bit more about guest parking would have also been useful! I really would have liked the co working space, it’s a shame it’s not available

Location couldn’t be better being 30 seconds from Hove Station and 5 mins from central hove. A great area to live in.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Immediate action taken whenever needed (which was very rarely need)

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wouldn’t change anything, there was nothing unexpected as communication was very clear from day one

Mustard Wharf at Tower Works, LS1

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Mustard Wharf is in a fantastic location, especially if you need easy access to transport links. I work in the rail industry, so being less than a 5-minute walk from Leeds Station has been a huge benefit and makes commuting incredibly convenient. The area has a great mix of cafes, restaurants and bars, and we especially love living opposite BAKE for coffee and treats. There are also plenty of nice places to walk nearby, including along the canal, which makes the area feel relaxed despite being so central. We’ve found the area feels safe, friendly and well connected, and there’s a nice community atmosphere around the development.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any issues or requests I’ve raised have generally been handled quickly and professionally. When we first moved in, I requested a few adjustments to the flat and the maintenance team sorted everything out efficiently and without any fuss. The only situation where I felt communication could have been better was regarding a parking space enquiry after concerns were raised by another resident about possible rodent-related vehicle damage in the car park. While the management team did respond promptly and explain the preventative measures in place, I personally didn’t feel fully reassured by the communication around the issue and ultimately decided not to proceed with the parking contract. Aside from that isolated experience, building management have been excellent overall.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I’d known how much of a community feel Mustard Wharf actually has compared to most city centre developments. The resident events, rooftop spaces and gym make it much easier to meet people and socialise than I expected, and I’ve genuinely made friends through living here. I’d also say it’s worth considering parking costs in advance if you own a car, as city centre parking can be expensive. However, the location itself is fantastic, especially for commuting or working in Leeds city centre.
