At the bottom of the road is Ridgeway Playing Fields/Coombe Brooke Nature reserve, which is ideal for running, picnics, access to the Bristol/Bath cycle path. In terms of commuting to the centre, Temple Meads is a fifteen minute cycle and Harbourside is also twenty minutes.
