Description

The sellers view...
As first-time buyers expecting our son, we wanted to find a home in a location that was midway between our families. That search naturally led us to Maidenhead. With excellent transport links to London and Reading, it quickly became the perfect place for us to settle. The area’s strong reputation for schools, from nursery through to secondary, gave us real confidence as we planned for the future.
From the moment we walked into the house, we fell in love with its character and light, sense of space, and the beautiful private garden, which is not overlooked. It has felt like a warm and welcoming home from the very beginning.

We moved in just before our son was born, and it has been a wonderful home in which to grow as a family, full of special memories.

The location has made day-to-day life so easy. The train station is a 15-minute walk, offering fast connections into London Paddington and Reading, while both the M4 and M40 are just a short drive away. There are two local parks within a 10 minute walk(both have playgrounds), along with a local library and Norden Farm, which hosts regular events. A great café and a weekend bakery are just around the corner, and a doctor’s surgery with a chemist and a small supermarket are only a few minutes away. There are also lots of great restaurants in town. Our son’s primary school is also within a 15-minute walk.

Since moving in, we have made a number of improvements to the property, including adding a banister to the staircase, installing a new boiler relocated to the loft, fitting new radiators, upgrading the entrance hall and stairs, installing a new front door, and creating an outdoor kitchen area with pergola. More recently, we have added a new fence and gate, enhancing both privacy and security.

We are now looking to move to a larger home to accommodate extended family living, including space for an elderly relative to stay with us regularly. While we are excited for our next chapter, we will truly miss this home and hope the next owners will enjoy it as much as we have.
