"We moved here just before starting our family, and it’s been such a lovely home for us as our two boys have grown up.

One of the things we’ve loved most is how flexible the space is—it’s really changed with us over the years. Our previous playroom become a home office and snug, and we’ve turned the dining room extension into a play area. It’s been so easy to adapt as life has evolved. The lounge is really cosy and can be closed off or opened up depending on how you want to use it. The utility room has been a lifesaver (especially with muddy football boots!) and over time has doubled up as a hobby space and desk area too. There’s also loads of storage, including a really handy pantry for our many bulk buys.

The kitchen is definitely the heart of the home. The island makes it such a sociable space where everyone naturally gathers—especially at Christmas or when we have friends and family over. Having the hob on the island means you’re always part of what’s going on.

We’ve enjoyed updating the house over the years, and the rooflight in the extension makes such a difference—it brings in loads of natural light. The garden has been great too, with the gazebo perfect for get-togethers and summer evenings (and very useful with British weather!)

Upstairs, the main bedroom with its dressing area and en-suite has always felt like our own calm, private space, and the big family bathroom has been so practical.

The cul-de-sac is quiet and safe, and it’s been such a nice place to bring up the boys—especially helping them learn to ride their bikes out front.

The location has been perfect for us. We often walk to Dinton Pastures, Bearwood Park, Hatchwood Mill fields and Sainsbury’s, and it’s great having the Showcase cinema and places like The Walter’s Arms, Club India, Lockey Farm and Nirvana Spa nearby. There are also three really good primary schools within walking distance, including the one our boys attend.

For commuting, Winnersh station is close by, and if we wanted a different train link, we often do the quick 10-minute drive to Twyford for the Elizabeth line. It’s also really easy to get onto the M4 and to Reading, Bracknell and Arborfield. At weekends, we often head into Woodley or Wokingham town centre.

It’s been such a happy home for us and we’ve made so many special memories here. We’ll really miss it and hope whoever moves in loves it just as much as we have."
