Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We decided to move to New Fountainbridge after relocating from Sydney to Edinburgh in March. We loved the area when we visited in 2023 and it's perfectly located for our family near shops, the centre and the local school. We've found the area to be a great location for young families who want to be near to the centre and don't mind the hustle and bustle of the city (although the area is much more relaxed than city centres like Sydney or London!). People have been really friendly and the local cafes and pubs excellent. For larger supermarket shops, we need to get a bus or light rail but getting about is quick and easy. We also love being near the Princess Street playground and the Meadows, both a short bus ride or walk away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

We had a few items requiring attention from the inventory inspection. The team allocated someone to look and resolve these within 24 hours. If we need to speak to someone, we can walk 2 mins to the office and get advice or support as needed.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Having access to guest wifi in the building, even for a few days would have been great as we were getting set up with our internet and mobile phones. Also a local area guide, listing supermarkets, transport etc would have been handy, but not an issue as so much is easy to to find online.

    Manager's response

Hi Rob, Thank you so much for your incredibly thoughtful and detailed review. We are absolutely delighted to hear that your experience with New Fountainbridge has been such a positive one, especially after such a big move for your family from Sydney. It’s wonderful to know that the team were able to support you throughout the process from your initial video viewing right through to move-in and that you have felt welcomed and well looked after. We will be sure to pass your kind words on to Euan, Courtney, and the wider team. We are also really pleased that you are enjoying the development itself, as well as the local area. It’s great to hear that the location, amenities, and nearby green spaces like The Meadows and Princes Street Gardens are working so well for your family. Thank you as well for your helpful suggestions regarding WiFi and a local area guide. These are really valuable points and we will certainly take them into consideration as we continue to improve the resident experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation, and are so glad that choosing New Fountainbridge has been a “big win” for you and your family. If there’s ever anything you need, we are always here to help. Have a great day!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is great! We received a free coffee voucher at move-in ( lots of other nice goodies in the move-in gift) for the coffee cave just across street and have continued to go back! You are so close to the city center here but far enough away that it doesn't feel to busy. Lots of shops and things to do close by. The flats are also right beside the canal so you can go on a nice walk as well.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I've not had any issues as of yet. But based on my experience so far, I feel confident that they will be helpful should I ever need anything.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Everything was clearly communicated. Because of this, I can't think of anything that I wish I had known. I really do love my new flat

    Manager's response

Hello, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are really pleased to hear that you are enjoying your apartment, from the modern design and Bosch appliances to the touch-screen intercom and the calm, quiet feel of the building. It’s also great to know you have noticed and appreciated the upkeep of the property. We are especially glad that your experience with the team has been so positive, from your initial enquiry through to move-in and that our communication has felt clear, fast, and informative throughout. It’s lovely to hear you are enjoying the local area too, especially the canal walks and nearby coffee spots. We are delighted the move-in gifts and welcome experience added something extra for you as well. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. If you ever need anything, we are always happy to help. Have a great day!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

It's a centrally located area with a lot of shops, restaurants, bars and parks within close proximity. Multiple bus routes get you practically anywhere in the city with the tram stop and Haymarket only 10 minutes away.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The builiding management has been extremely quick to respond to any queries or maintainance requests I have raised.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I know it was mentioned during my property viewing but it would be a good idea to get in writting who the electricity and heating suppliers are - would have definetely helped me to calculate my monthly budget.

    Manager's response

Hi Karthik, Thank you very much for your great review! We are delighted to hear that you are enjoying the space, natural light, and high-quality furnishings in your apartment, as well as the convenience of the central yet quiet location. It’s also fantastic to know that the transport links, nearby amenities, and on-site facilities like secure bike storage are adding to your experience. We really appreciate your feedback regarding the utility information. That’s a very helpful point, and we will look at how we can make this clearer in writing for residents during the move-in process to support with budgeting. Thank you as well for your kind words about the team, we are pleased to hear that you have found us responsive and helpful. We truly appreciate your recommendation, and if you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Have a great day!

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

New Fountainbridge is located in the heart of Edinburgh just a ten minute walk away from Edinburgh Castle. However, it still retains the peace and tranquility of a private development. Amenities include on-site dedicated recycling and underground parking.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building managers have assisted with any issues so far and keep residents updated with a bespoke app for everyone living in the development.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The NFB team are there to help and can answer any and all questions you may have.

    Manager's response

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Local area is really central with good transport links. Despite it's central location the flat and complex is quiet and settled. It's main location draw back is parking availablity. With the development having it's own parking you are not eligible for a parking permit and the onsite parking is unaffordable for the average earner.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I have always had a quick and clear response from the team at NFB.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Before moving in I wish I had known more about the parking g options or lack there of. It wouldn't have changed my decision but it has made things difficult. Id definitely recommend living hear.

    Manager's response
