Mitre House has recently undergone extensive renovation to bring it back to its 1930s splendour, and it certainly feels very exclusive. This flat resides on the fifth floor, and is as immaculate inside as the newly polished exterior. It has a contemporary palette and finish, plus far reaching views across roof tops and church spires to the north.

Style: Deco apartment

Bedrooms: 1 double

Living Rooms: 1 open plan to kitchen

Location: Central Brighton

Parking: Permit Parking Zone Z

Why you'll like it:
Whenever you walk through any city, especially down the high street; look up - you will almost always be amazed by the striking architecture found above the colourful shop fronts.

Mitre House is a fantastic example of this, built in the Art Deco era, and having undergone full refurbishment in recent years, entering the communal lobby is akin to arriving at a five star hotel.

Once inside it is immediately clear that this is a stunning, contemporary apartment. Oak floors flow along the hallway to the open plan living room and kitchen to the left, and this has a sleek finish with olive grey and cream units topped with practical surfaces, and into these the square sink and draining grooves have been seamlessly cut in. The washer dryer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge freezer and microwave are all integrated so there's ample space in the rest of the room for a dining table and chairs and comfortable sofas.

The views from the gracious multi pane windows offer lovely roof and treetop views with church spires piercing the skyscapes, and although they face north, you are so elevated that they flood the room with light throughout the day.

Returning to the hall, the bathroom is next on the left, and this is fully tiled in dove grey ceramic, and the suite is modern and fresh in white with a shower over the bath.

The bedroom is at the end of the hall, and this is a generous double with plush fawn carpets underfoot and a a double built in wardrobe in an Eastern style, but in cream gloss with a chrome trim.

The orientation and views are the same as the living room, and being so high up it is very peaceful for a tranquil night's sleep. This apartment needs to be seen!
