A delightful rustic-style country house offering versatile accommodation in a glorious mature country garden, just 5 minutes from the lake-view village of Los Romanes and 25 minutes from the beach.

Full of original charm, beams and sloping ceilings, the property is set in delightful cottage gardens. It is accessed along a country lane, just a 5 minute drive from the lake-view village of Los Romanes and only 25 minutes from the beach at Torre del Mar and around 1 hour of Malaga city and airport.

The house sits on a ridge, offering impressive, panoramic views, from the distance glimpse of the glistening Mediterranean sea to the south, to the majestic and dramatic mountain ranges to the north, and of course, magnificent Mount Maroma. From here we see both sunrises and sunsets and there is all day sunshine.

The house is found at the end of a little line of country cottages, with friendly neighbours. There is space to park by the house and all around are wonderful walks with incredible views.

The house is divided into two sections, the entire house can be used as one, or either the studio or the main house could be let to tourists.

The self-contained studio is also ideal for visiting family and friends.

It had a complete new roof installed around 15 years ago.

From the gated garden, consisting of plenty of little seating areas, many flowering plants, fruit trees including lemon, mulberry and fig, and a magnificent ancient algarrobo tree (carob) providing welcoming natural shade in the summer, a side door leads into the studio.

The studio consists of one large room (around 7 x 5.5m) incorporating a kitchen, shower room and seating/dining and sleeping area with a pull-out double sofabed. From here, a lockable door leads into the main house and the delightful kitchen (3.5 x 3m) with beams, and fully fitted, its kitchen window overlooking part of the garden and, of course, those unmissable views.

From the kitchen, a couple of shallow steps leads into the lovely living room, with a fireplace to the left and double doors leading out to the little access lane to the south (6 x 3m).

To the right of the living room is the downstairs bedroom (currently used as an office and crafts room) with a lockable door.

The stairs lead up from here, (with an under-stairs storage area), to the upstairs.

At the top of the stairs is a short corridor. Directly ahead is bedroom 2 with beams and sloping ceiling and a tiny but so traditional and quite delightful little window offering a view over the dramatic landscape (bedroom 2 around 3 x 3m).

The corridor leads to bedroom 3 on the right (3 x 2m plus above stairs store area), bedroom 4 to the left (around 3 x 3.5m) and the delightful upstairs bathroom (3 x 1.5m), nicely presented, with a low bath with views.

From the fourth bedroom a door leads out onto a spacious and magnificent open terrace over the studio (around 6 x 5m) with totally panoramic views from sea to far inland mountain ranges. From here, spiral steps also lead down into the garden.

To the south side of the house is a little hidden treasure - a secret garden. A tiny path leads through a walled doorway into a small patio garden on three levels, bursting with foliage, flowers and lemons. Beyond the bright colours of the Spring flowers that have naturally covered the lower level are those stunning views that constantly draw the eye.

To the north side, beyond the garden, is a lower bank, grassy and green in spring.

It would be ideal here to add a little path or steps down to the lower bank, as this is such a beautiful spot to contemplate life, nature and the landscape.

There is plenty of space to add an above ground pool at this property.
