Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I moved to The James because Ellie helped me through out the whole process and is very kind. I really like my studio apartment as it is excatly what i am looking for , for being here for sort time to study english.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Always respond but i havent had much to complain about

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Wish i found the james before i moved to another place, because It is very quiet and wanted community to practice english

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The local area is absolutely fantastic and very convenient. There is a superb range of shops, cafes, and restaurants right on the doorstep, meaning you never have to go far for a great meal or evening out. Transport links are also incredibly convenient, with reliable bus routes and a train station just a short walk away. The street itself is mostly quiet, with just normal amounts of daytime traffic noise. Bin collections happen on schedule without any issues.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Havent had to raise any issues so far, but Im sure they would be very attentive and responsive.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Overall everything has been pretty good to be honest. Perhaps only slight inconvenience is that the chairs dont fit underneath the desk so you sit a bit far out when trying to work but its not a major thing. As mentioned though is an excellent and super convenient place to live in.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Close to rail links (across the road from a station) and with 15 mins walk of both major stations to get anywhere in the country. Right behind the main shopping district as well as in sight of the river. No parking. There is a pub right outside but doesn't create any anti social behaviour or excessive noise. Excellent choice of restaurants and shops around the corner.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Nothing major, I created a ticket but it was more to ask if my payment had went through. There is a useful ticket system for enquiries where you can create new and see old enquiries. Far better than using email

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Kitchen is probably a little smaller than I'm used to, you will need to get groceries often and there isn't really space for lots kitchen equipment. Not a problem though as there are many grocery close by and major superstore about 5-10 mins walk away

    Manager's response

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you’re enjoying the care from the management team, the community events, and the convenience of the app and facilities. It’s great to hear the location and transport links are working well for you, and that the shared spaces and natural light in your room are hitting the mark. Your feedback on the kitchen is really helpful for future residents.

    Feb 2026

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The city centre location means I'm within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants, museums and galleries. Opposite James street train station and close to Liverpool One bus station. Being in the centre can be a little noisier on the weekend but it is usually quiet after 10pm.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

I haven’t raised any problems since moving in one year ago.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

There is noise from outside but not ordinarily from neighbours.

    Manager's response

Thanks so much for your detailed review ..we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience after a year with us! We're so glad you're enjoying the location and making the most of everything right on your doorstep, as well as the building amenities. It’s great to hear the design, maintenance, and in-room features have all met your expectations too. We completely understand your comments around city centre noise, it’s something that comes with such a central spot, but we're pleased to hear it's generally calm later in the evenings and that noise between neighbours hasn’t been an issue. It’s also brilliant to know you haven’t needed to raise any issues with the team – but just a reminder that we’re always here if anything does come up. Thanks again for your feedback, it really helps future residents get a clear picture of what to expect!
