The kitchen/breakfast room also overlooks the gardens and is fitted with a range of storage units, a built-in Bosch oven, an integrated fridge/freezer and an electric Esse range cooker. The shower room and useful utility room (offering access to the storage area) complete the ground floor.
Rising to the first floor there is a generous 17' x 13'4" main bedroom with a range of built-in wardrobes and a large eaves storage area. Additionally, there are two further bedrooms (one of which is currently used as a study) and a family bathroom.
Outside
A splendid feature of the property are the fabulous south-facing rear gardens which enjoy a high level of seclusion and privacy. They are largely laid to lawn with a paved patio and stocked with a huge variety of trees, shrubs and bushes. There are two sheds, a greenhouse, exterior lighting and an outside tap. To the front of the property is a driveway providing off-road parking for several vehicles and a well-stocked garden which provides a natural privacy screen from the road. The garage has been converted to provide a useful utility room and shower room with the remainder of the garage used as a store room.
Situation
Lee Common (in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) is a small hamlet in the parish of The Lee, meaning “woodland clearing” and believed to have Anglo-Saxon origins with a mention in The Domesday Book. The Lee is a delightful hilltop village, lying approximately midway between Great Missenden and the market town of Wendover, nestled against the backdrop of the Chiltern hills. The village offers good recreational facilities (including a cricket pitch), a shop, a primary school and there are several public houses nearby including The Old Swan at Swan Bottom and The Cock and Rabbit on the common (built in 1907 by Arthur Liberty). In the same year, a large sarcen stone was excavated from Lee Gate and erected on the common where it remains today. The chapel dates back to the 13th century and is a Grade I Listed building.
Great Missenden, some 3.3 miles distant, caters for day-to-day shopping requirements and offers a selection of restaurants including The Nag’s Head and Fanfan. Trains run from Great Missenden to London Marylebone in approximately 49 minutes. Buckinghamshire is renowned for its private and state education, including grammar schools, details of which may be obtained from the local authority.
