There is beautiful countryside and lovely walks straight from the doorstep, and the Golden Heart inn (serves really good food) is only a 5 minute walk away. The Home

Ivory Hill Farm is a grade two listed farmstead originating from the late 1500s. Historically used for arable and livestock farming as well as cheese-making and brewing; the farmstead now comprises of seven homes. The Carthouse was constructed in the late 1800s, and was used to house machinery as well as the milking parlour. The developers of this project have designed and constructed the homes celebrating the historical features whilst sensitively modernising to ensure contemporary finishes. The original walls are half a metre thick and have been clad in lime hemp insulation and finished with a lime plaster. There is an air source heat pump with large hot water storage cylinder. Water based underfloor heating system throughout ground floor and first floor.

On entering the home there is a cloakroom area and WC to your left and ahead is the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with fantastic views out on to the garden and of the surrounding fields. The exposed beams and dramatic vaulted ceiling gives historical charm in a contemporary and welcoming living space. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor and a bathroom. The first floor, has a large main loft bedroom with ensuite and there is a separate loft space into the eaves.

The Outside

Located just beyond Bristol in South Gloucestershire, Winterbourne is a large village surrounded by peaceful countryside with convenient transport links to Bristol City Centre, Bath and beyond. From the village, you can access an abundance of scenic walks and sights, including the Frome Valley Walkway, Monks Pool Nature Reserve, Winterbourne Down and West Country Water Park. On rainier days, head to The Swan Inn, the George and Dragon or the Golden Heart for a cosy pint, or take a short trip to Poplars Farm Café and enjoy their signature farmhouse breakfast. The village is easily commutable to Bristol and Bath, with a direct bus route available to Bristol City Centre and Bristol Parkway Station a 10 minute drive away. St Michael’s C of E Primary School, Elmpark Primary School, and Winterbourne Academy are all within walking distance and there’s a great choice of other village schools in the surrounding area.
