Land at Brocks Lane, Frilsham

The site contains hedgerows, trees, woodland, scrub, ruderal vegetation and grassland. Previous quarry activity has altered ground levels compared with the surrounding land. The western area of the land is level with the road. The eastern area contains higher ground. A quarry face runs across the site in a crescent formation, reaching a height of approximately 10 metres and providing views towards the west.

Frilsham is located in the Pang Valley and lies within the designated North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Local services are available in Yattendon, and Newbury is around 6 miles from the village. Pangbourne is also within easy reach. Public houses in the area include The Pot Kiln in Frilsham and the Royal Oak in Yattendon.

Educational provision is available through several schools in the wider area, including Brockhurst & Marlston House, Elstree, Marlborough College, Downe House, Cheam, Pangbourne College, The Downs School and Bradfield College.
