What attracted you to the property when you bought it ?
The private location and the beautiful rose garden, and the charm of the beams, gallery and old fireplace.
What improvements have you made to the house ?
Brand new kitchen, opened up the old kitchen and utility rooms into a modern, open plan kitchen dining area. installed a garden room. put shutters in nearly all windows. all new carpets upstairs and expensive thick oak flooring downstairs, new shower cubicle and vanity unit, new taps and shower heads, wood surround and fireproof board for gas cylinders and oil tank, new mother board for electrics, roof repairs (broken tiles replaced) and de-mossing, tree pruning, all rooms painted with farrow and ball paints, feature walls in 2 bedrooms and lounge with Laura Ashley paper, skylights and gutters cleaned, boiler and log burner serviced recently.

Very friendly and quiet neighbours, peace and tranquillity, beautiful garden in summer, cosy and warm in winter, lovely walks right on our doorstep in the high weald, lovely towns and villages in the area, good shops in Tenterden and Hawkhurst including 2 Waitrose, membership of local spa/pool/gym, cinema in Hawkhurst.
