How windy it was, it’s a very windy spot and. Look out your hair spray

Leith offers a great mix of independent shops, restaurants and bars, especially around The Shore, with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. There are good open spaces nearby like Leith Links, and excellent transport links via tram and bus, making it easy to get into the city center and beyond.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

The building management team have been responsive and efficient, dealing with any issues raised in a timely and professional manner while keeping communication clear.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

It’s worth knowing that being close to the waterfront and tramline means there can be some occasional background noise, particularly at busier times. The area is also still developing in places, so you may notice ongoing improvements, but this adds to the sense of growth and investment in the neighborhood.

Dockside Leith is a fantastic place to live, with great restaurants, bars and waterfront walks. Excellent transport links via tram and buses make getting around easy.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Building management have been responsive and professional, addressing issues quickly and keeping communication clear throughout.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The main thing worth knowing is that being close to the waterfront and tramline means you’ll get some occasional noise, especially during busier periods, but it’s generally manageable. Also, the area is still developing, so you may notice ongoing works nearby, but it’s a sign of how quickly the neighbourhood is improving and growing.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

We love the Shore so this is a perfect spot for us! Ocean Terminal is a great mall with a movie theatre, restaurants, a Boots, etc. There are barbers across the street and THREE dentists office and a drs office nearby. I do wish there was a full grocery store but hopefully soon! Getting the tram is super easy at Ocean Terminal and there are tons of buses. Bin collections are seamless with so many options in the bin room that there is always an empty one. Our old flat's one was ALWAYS full. Traffic noise can be loud if you have the windows open but with them closed you don't hear it at all. Great area!

We haven't had any issues just yet so I cannot comment on this.

Would love more insight into what the bills would be each month because we are paying a lot in rent so don't want surprise high extra costs. They told us council tax band D in the showing and we just got a letter saying E.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Brilliant area, has everything you need. Is vibrant and interesting. Lots of amenities nearby. Waste collections are very convenient and onsite. Traffic noise is very little, aside from the tram bell, which I think is lovely

Communications good, any issues raised are actioned timeously.

Up to now I haven’t really used the public spaces as much as I could have, tip would be to come in with the attitude that these spaces are an extension of your own home!
