Old Halden is located just outside the village of Rolvenden which offers Rolvenden Primary School, as well as a number of local amenities such as the village shop/post office, Church, village hall and The Bull Inn. Main line stations are located in Staplehurst, Headcorn and Ashford providing commuter links to London mainline stations. The latter also offers the high-speed service to St Pancras with journey times in just over 35 minutes.
