Sellers Comments-
"We’ve absolutely loved living here. The house is filled with lots of natural light throughout the day, and the quiet, private garden has been our little sanctuary. When we first walked through the door, we knew straight away that this was the one — it felt so much more spacious than any of the other Victorian terraces we’d seen, and we could instantly imagine building a life here. It immediately stood out as a home we could grow into. It’s been a space that has worked so well for us.

One of the things we’ve really appreciated is the spacious main bedroom — it’s bright, comfortable, and has always felt like a calm retreat at the end of the day. The loft room has also been incredibly useful, giving us generous extra storage space and keeping the rest of the house clutter free.

Our cosy living room has been one of our favourite places to unwind, especially with the open plan flow into the dining room. The optimist fireplace has been such a treat in the autumn and winter months — it gives off a warm, comforting glow that makes the whole space feel instantly relaxing.

Being just a short walk from Reading West Station has made commuting into London for work incredibly easy, and having 24 hour buses on the doorstep is very helpful too!

The location has genuinely been one of our favourite things: Kensington Park and Prospect Park are close by for weekend strolls, independent shops along Oxford Road for everyday essentials, and Lidl and Tesco only a five minute walk away. When we didn’t feel like cooking, the sheer number of Deliveroo options meant we were never short of great food. And with Reading town centre only a 20 minute walk away, everything we needed was always within reach.

We hope the owners enjoy living here as much as we have!"

Kiel's Comments-
As an independent estate agent here in Reading, I’m delighted to bring to market this beautifully presented three-bedroom Victorian terrace on Prince of Wales Avenue.

This home perfectly blends period charm with modern living. The current owners have thoughtfully upgraded the property throughout, including new flooring, a recently replaced rear roof, and a boiler installed just three years ago—meaning buyers can move straight in without the usual concerns that come with older homes.

The accommodation is generous and well-balanced. To the front, you’ll find a particularly spacious master bedroom, complemented by two further double bedrooms—something rarely found in homes of this style. In addition, the loft has been adapted to create a highly useful bonus room, ideal as a home office, hobby space, or occasional guest area.

The interiors are stylish and cohesive, with décor that respects the home’s Victorian heritage while delivering a clean, modern finish throughout. Every room has been carefully considered, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment you step through the front door.

Externally, the property benefits from on-street parking and a location that offers both convenience and a strong sense of community.
For buyers seeking period character without the typical renovation burden, this is a home that truly stands out—and one I believe you’ll fall in love with instantly.

Area View-
Prince of Wales Avenue sits within a peaceful, family-friendly residential pocket of Reading, while still offering excellent connectivity and amenities.

The property is approximately a 6 minute walk from Reading West railway station, providing convenient links into central Reading. From there, you can access the Elizabeth Line, offering direct routes into London, including Paddington and beyond—ideal for commuters. For outdoor space, families are well served by both Kensington Park and Prospect Park. These green spaces provide playgrounds, open fields, and walking routes, making them perfect for weekend relaxation or after-school outings.

The area also benefits from a selection of well-regarded schools, making it particularly attractive to families. Everyday essentials are close at hand, with Lidl and Tesco Extra nearby, alongside a variety of independent shops and services. Despite its convenience, the area retains a calm, residential feel—offering the best of both worlds: easy access to the vibrancy of central Reading while enjoying a quieter home environment.
