Description

At the end of a quiet lane, this lovely home enjoys green outlooks, generous bedrooms and bright first-floor living. With wrap-around decking & gardens, and walks from the doorstep, it has a semi rural feel yet it's just 1 mile from Newbury town centre.

First Floor
The heart of the home is the light-filled open-plan kitchen, living and dining space, positioned on the first floor to make the most of the lovely outlooks. The kitchen features fitted units and a sociable breakfast peninsula, while the dining area opens directly onto the wrap-around decking.

The living area is both bright and welcoming, creating a comfortable space to relax and unwind.

Also on this floor is a generous home office overlooking the green space beyond, a convenient cloakroom, and a small garage/storage area to the front of the property.

Ground Floor
Downstairs, there are three bedrooms, two of which are particularly generous in size. The main bedroom benefits from an
en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobe and access into the garden room — a lovely spot to enjoy the evening sun.

Bedroom two is an excellent-sized double room with fitted wardrobes and views across the rear terrace.

Bedroom three is a single bedroom currently used as a music room, also overlooking the terrace.

The family bathroom is well appointed with both a bath and separate shower.

Outside
The wrap-around deck extends from the first-floor living space and overlooks the garden and surrounding greenery, creating a wonderful space for outdoor dining and entertaining. Steps lead down to the landscaped garden, which includes a rockery, greenhouse and lawned area.

Beneath the decking is a further patio area alongside a large shed, while an additional west-facing patio provides the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.

Seller Insight
What first drew us to the house was the completely different layout and the incredible sense of light throughout. Even on grey days, the views across to the countryside make everything feel bright and calm. It has this rare balance of feeling wonderfully rural while still being within walking distance of the town centre.

When we bought the property, it needed a huge amount of work. Underneath the tired décor though, it had a great vibe and we knew this home could be special.

We opened up the living space which now flows beautifully and makes the most of the natural light and views. The decking is a true extension of the kitchen — perfect for BBQs and entertaining, people just flow naturally between the two.

The main bedrooms are incredibly generous in size, and one thing we especially love is how cool the downstairs rooms stay during the summer months. Our bedroom is a real sanctuary — peaceful, relaxing, and with lovely views across to the trees from the bed.

During Covid, I worked from the garden room, I love that space! It has views over trees so it’s very cathartic. But I needed
something more permanent so we created the upstairs office which has even better views.

We’re hoping to find a new home as quiet, friendly and safe as this and really hope whoever moves in here enjoys this wonderful
home as much as we have.
