Description

The Sellers View
We have loved living here and over the years have made some great improvements to the house, including a new driveway, new bathroom and refreshing the garden, which has been brilliant for family life.

All four bedrooms comfortably fit a double bed, which has worked perfectly for us as our family has grown. We have used the rooms for our children alongside a home office and the main bedroom, so the house has always felt really versatile.

One of our favourite parts of the home is how bright it feels throughout the day, especially the large living room at the back of the house. It has been a great space for entertaining friends and family, as well as everyday life with children. We chose to use part of the room as a play area, but it would also work really well as a living and dining space.

The garden has also been a huge part of why we have loved living here. We have spent so much time outside having family BBQs while still having plenty of room for the children to play.

We have lived in and around Thatcham our whole lives and this quiet close has been the perfect place to raise a family. Everything is within easy reach, including the park, Discovery Centre and lake, shops, and even walks into both Thatcham and Newbury town centres.

The neighbourhood is also incredibly friendly. Everyone in the close is so welcoming and always happy to say hello to us and the children, which is something we will really miss.

The Agents View
Tucked away in a quiet cul de sac within Thatcham, this well presented four bedroom detached home offers the sort of space and flexibility that growing families are constantly searching for.

As soon as you step inside, the bright and welcoming hallway gives access to the kitchen, downstairs WC, spacious living/dining room and an internal door into the garage. The kitchen sits at the front of the property and also benefits from side access to the garden, while the living/dining room at the rear is a fantastic family space with plenty of room to relax, entertain or create separate living and play areas.

One thing I particularly like about this home is the potential of the downstairs layout. Subject to the usual checks, there is a great opportunity to open the kitchen into the living space and create a stunning open plan kitchen, dining and family room, which would completely transform the downstairs for modern living.

Upstairs, the generous landing leads to four impressively sized bedrooms. A huge bonus here is that all four rooms can comfortably accommodate a double bed, which is something rarely found in many four bedroom homes. Whether buyers need children's bedrooms, guest rooms or home office space, the layout offers genuine flexibility. The refitted bathroom has also been upgraded to a lovely modern standard.

Outside, the rear garden enjoys a high degree of privacy and is perfectly set up for family summers, BBQs and entertaining, while the recently improved driveway at the front comfortably provides parking for two vehicles.

Homes in quiet locations like Pegasus Close that offer four genuine double bedrooms, flexible living space and future potential are always in strong demand.

The Area View
Pegasus Close sits within a quiet and well established residential pocket of Thatcham, making it an ideal setting for family life while still being close to everyday amenities.

Within a short walk you will find a range of local conveniences, including shops, supermarkets and the main town centre at The Broadway, which is typically around 25-30 minutes on foot of 4 minutes by car. Here you will also find cafés, independent stores and essential services, giving the town a strong community feel.

For families, there is a good selection of local schooling nearby, including both primary and secondary options, with Kennet School being a well known secondary choice in the area. There are also several well regarded primary schools within easy reach of the property.

Outdoor space is another real benefit of this location. The Nature Discovery Centre is only a short distance away, offering lakeside walks, open green space and play areas, and is typically around a 4 minute drive or a 15 minute walk for those who enjoy being outdoors locally. There are also a number of smaller parks and green spaces dotted around Thatcham, all easily accessible.

For commuters, Newbury is around a 10 to 15 minute drive, offering a wider range of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. Thatcham railway station is also easily accessible, with regular services into Reading and onward connections to London Paddington in around an hour, making it a practical choice for those needing to travel further afield.

Overall, this is a very convenient and family friendly location that balances quiet residential living with excellent access to amenities, schooling and transport links.
